The basics, before your next move.
How does ChartGame work?
You're shown a real historical stock or crypto chart. Make buy and sell decisions as the chart reveals bar by bar. At the end, your return is compared with a simple buy-and-hold strategy.
Is real money involved?
No. ChartGame is a simulation for practice and education. All trading uses virtual currency, so no real money is at risk.
What is the Daily Challenge?
Every day, all players get the same chart to trade. Results are ranked on a daily leaderboard so you can see how your skills compare.

Do I need to create an account?
No. The app automatically creates an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. No email or phone number is required. Choose a display name, or use the random one assigned to you.
How do I reset my progress?
In version 1.8, Profile offers Reset Replay Progress and Reset Live Paper Account. These reset the selected local progress and attempt to remove or reset its leaderboard score. They do not delete your anonymous account, follows, or profile photo. Server updates need a connection and can fail. See our Privacy Policy for details and deletion requests.
What data does ChartGame collect?
Your anonymous account ID, display name, game performance stats, daily challenge results, follows, selected avatar identity, and trader tier are stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yahoo Finance via yfinance
Its stock and ETF examples use a separate historical dataset obtained from Yahoo Finance through yfinance. This dataset is separate from the Coinbase live crypto feed.
ChartGame uses virtual money for practice. Third-party data remains subject to the applicable provider terms; source credits do not grant a separate license to extract or redistribute it.
